Junior Bookkeeper - Temporary Position

About The Position

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our finance team (replacement for maternity leave)


Responsibilities:

  • Recording daily financial transactions.
  • Recording credit card transactions, invoices, payments, and monthly reconciliation.
  • Responsible for bank accounts including daily reconciliation and monthly controls.
  • Process travel & expenses reports and maintain approval flow.
  • Perform all activities related to accounts payable including reviewing and processing payments to local and foreign vendors, preparing AP reconciliation, AP aging reports, and recording vendor invoices.
  • Assisting with month-end closing and other projects as needed.
  • Working closely with the Lead Bookkeeper and the rest of the Finance Team.
  • Assisting with other bookkeeping responsibilities (for example, payments to suppliers, VAT returns, etc.)

Requirements

  • Certified bookkeeper – Level 2 – Must.
  • Proficient in English.
  • 1-2 years of proven bookkeeping experience.
  • Technologically oriented person.
  • High level of quality awareness and attention to detail.
  • Experience in working with multiple currencies, and multiple entities/subsidiaries. 
  • Able to work independently, follow tasks through to completion
  • MS Office Proficiency, especially with Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Pleasant person to work with, high level of integrity, well-organized, independent, team player with excellent interpersonal relationships, a “can-do” approach.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP system – an advantage.
