Junior Bookkeeper - Temporary Position
About The Position
We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our finance team (replacement for maternity leave)
Responsibilities:
- Recording daily financial transactions.
- Recording credit card transactions, invoices, payments, and monthly reconciliation.
- Responsible for bank accounts including daily reconciliation and monthly controls.
- Process travel & expenses reports and maintain approval flow.
- Perform all activities related to accounts payable including reviewing and processing payments to local and foreign vendors, preparing AP reconciliation, AP aging reports, and recording vendor invoices.
- Assisting with month-end closing and other projects as needed.
- Working closely with the Lead Bookkeeper and the rest of the Finance Team.
- Assisting with other bookkeeping responsibilities (for example, payments to suppliers, VAT returns, etc.)
Requirements
- Certified bookkeeper – Level 2 – Must.
- Proficient in English.
- 1-2 years of proven bookkeeping experience.
- Technologically oriented person.
- High level of quality awareness and attention to detail.
- Experience in working with multiple currencies, and multiple entities/subsidiaries.
- Able to work independently, follow tasks through to completion
- MS Office Proficiency, especially with Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Pleasant person to work with, high level of integrity, well-organized, independent, team player with excellent interpersonal relationships, a “can-do” approach.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP system – an advantage.
